Improving the Book Preview On Amazon

#1

Let me start by saying that this is a fantastic book! I have never come across a better, more exciting and insightful collection of mentally stimulating problems which are not like the run-of-the-mill over-popular coding questions! By impication, then, a fantastic book deserves an honest and equally fantastic description, that is true to its high-quality character. Sadly, this is not true for the book’s description on Amazon. The preview is ridden with glaringly obvious grammatical and semantic errors:

  1. "Java versions of all C++ programs in the book at the website."
A simple re-wording or inserting the phrase “can be found” will suffice.
  2. "All problems includes hints for readers who get struck"
As hilarious as it is disappointing, those of us who are struck by flashes of insight don’t require hints. But I, for one, am often stuck and need hints. This time I am giving one.

I think the authors will be really grateful for pointing this out.

They just released version 1.4 of the book so the description might have been changed recently and it might have introduced some errors.

Either way I’ll be sure Adnan or Tsung-Hsien see this.

By the way, take a look at the review now to see if any more problems exist. It has been touched up: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/1479274836
